Steve Hackett Live at the Estival Jazz Lugano 2009

O Cláudio é um dos frequentadores assíduos da alcatéia e torcedor contumaz do nosso "Palestra"(claro que ele não poderia ser perfeito né?),sofredor como tantos que vêem seus times mau administrados e na sarjeta do esporte, qdo deveriam estar ocupando espaços melhores inclusive pra trazer um pouco de alegria ao povo nesse mundão de meu Deus, já com tantos problemas em seu dia a dia.

Normalmente aos finais de semana, ele envia aos amigos um vídeo com votos de bom fim de semana; um deles até briguei com ele dizendo:
- Vc tem coragem de me enviar esta gracinha da Dianna Krall cantando com seu "marido" Elvis Costello????
Que heresia, quer acabar meu encanto por ela?
Se vcs não sabem os lobos são assim pra se encantar, mas ver o objeto de desejo ao lado daquilo?????
Ré,ré,ré, respeitando aos que gostam do cara não sei o que ela viu nele mas vá lá fazer o que né?

Neste fim de semana ele amante do Genesis como muitos de nós me envia um vídeo do Hackett neste show numa versão de "Firth of Fifth", e eu sempre penso duas vz em assistir ou ouvir algo que foi, digamos "carimbado" com outra marca, no caso com o Gabriel aos vocais, mas como o próprio Hackett já havia me surpreendido no "Tokio Tapes" com o John Wetton cantando sucessos do Gabriel e ficou muito bom, mergulhei de cabeça esperando simplesmente algo do mesmo tipo.Confesso que me surpreendi a tal ponto que fui obrigado a buscar o show, ouvir na íntegra várias vezes e sacar o lance, prq o que mais ele prima ao meu ver é a qualidade e um dos vocalistas que é o baterista não achei logo de cara a altura do show, e muito menos de substituir o Gabriel e até o Wetton, o que digamos não é mesmo pra qualquer um.

Mas justo este ponto me chamou a atenção; o Steve Hackett de burro não tem nada e não daria ponto sem nó como se diria, então prq este cara com um estilo até simples, mas que se bem ouvido é delicado e sem nenhuma pretensão de se igualar e qto mais superar aos antecessores?

Aí reside ao meu ver a marca do mestre e criador, do gênio inventivo de Steve Hackett, um dos maiores e mais completos músicos de todos os tempos; juntou um time simplesmente fantástico, músicos de qualidade absurda, e colou vocais do baterista e do baixista, além dos dele, fazendo o que costumam chamar de releituras pra antigos sucessos, mas sem tentar imitá-los e com um frescor novo pra outros sons não tanto conhecidos ou executados.

Creio que irão gostar e muito como eu gostei da dica da semana do Cláudio, e espero que não liguem, mas não tenho saco de dividir arquivos, e este achei em 320kbp/s, o host eu sei que é meio complicadinho, mas valerá a pena o trabalho prq Mr.Hackett está simplesmente cada dia que passa melhor, e não sei se um show desse dura muito no ar, apesar de não ter sido lançado o áudio, só o dvd, mas é melhor não arriscar, afinal são 20 faixas simplesmente "do melhor cada vez melhor".Steve Hackett is renowned as an immensely talented and innovative rock musician. He was lead guitarist with Genesis as part of their classic line up with Gabriel, Collins, Banks and Rutherford, that produced acclaimed albums such as Selling England by the Pound (a favourite of John Lennon).
With Steve's extraordinary versatility in both his electric guitar playing and his composing, he involves influences from many genres, including Jazz, World Music and Blues.

He is equally adept in his classical albums that include renditions of pieces by composers from Bach to Satie, his own acoustic guitar compositions that have gained the admiration of many, including Yehudi Menuhin, and ambitious guitar/ orchestra albums such as A Midsummer Night's Dream, recorded with the Royal Philharmonic.

With Genesis, Steve's guitar playing produced some of the most memorable moments, from the sensitivity of his acoustic sound on Horizons and Blood on the Rooftopsto the dramatic rock guitar solos of Firth of Fifth and Fountain of Salmacis. As he embarked on his solo career he developed his exceptional range, pushing musical boundaries into exciting areas, inventing new sounds and also techniques such as 'tapping'. His solo career went from strength to strength and the mid eighties not only saw the hit single Cell 151, but also the Steve Hackett and Steve Howe super group GTR, highly successful in America.After GTR Steve worked further with many renowned musicians such as Paul Carrick, Bonny Tyler, John Wetton and Brian May, who has credited Steve as an early influence. Steve went on to produce his hit album Genesis Revisited. He went even further back to his roots with Blues with a Feeling, whilst continuing to challenge his own 'horizons' with an amazingly eclectic mix of sounds, genres and a sense of the exotic that excites his many followers to this day.

Recent albums have possessed a high level of sophistication, along with an ever-present powerful dynamic, from the dramatic and atmospheric darkness of Darktown and Wild Orchids to the colourful voyage through time and space of To Watch the Storms. 2009's Out Of The Tunnel's Mouth, written and recorded in the midst of domestic and professional upheaval, was released to an overwhelmingly positive response from fans and reviewers alike, many of them proclaiming it his best ever.Steve's live electric gigs take his fans on an extraordinary journey drawn from a rich musical heritage.
