Deep Purple - Stormbringer 35th Anniversary edition

Eu poderia afirmar categoricamente que não sei dizer qual disco do Purple eu não gosto, ou qual deles gosto mais, isto porque eles e eu (e o resto do mundo,rs)temos uma relação íntima de crescimento, evolução, conhecimento,etc

Com eles aprendi a ouvir as doces notas do Lord, a batida "porrada" do Ian e todos que por esta banda passaram, mas principalmente as trocas de Rod Evans, Nick Simper, Ian Gillan, Roger Glover, Coverdale e Hughes; isto sem contar as idas e vindas de Blackmore,rs e a banda continuar sendo o Deep Purple; o que poucas e raras conseguiram e conseguem até hoje, porque ou se escondem dizendo não conseguirem substitutos a altura, ou não combinarem seus "egos" com outros.

O Purple não; sempre sendo uma banda maior que si mesma, sempre tocando pra nós, sempre fazendo o melhor pra que seus fãs e seus detratores os engolissem, porque eram , são e serão uma das maiores de todos os tempos e os equiparo a Beatles, Stones e alguns poucos do mesmo nível.
Com Bolin ou Satriani, Airey ou Steve Morse, aí estão e espero continuem por muito tempo.

Este trabalho amo particularmente, apesar de ter várias versões do "In Rock" o qual é considerado o verdadeiro marco e o "Burn" a afirmação: "Stormbringer" mostra bem como estavam seus humores e marca Hughes em uma cançao solo e Dave em outra.
Eles simplesmente mataram a pau e mereciam uma edição especial que aí está amante da boa música.Stormbringer falls short of the excellence of Machine Head and Who Do We Think We Are, but nonetheless boasts some definite classics -- including the fiery "Lady Double Dealer," the ominous title song (a goth metal treasure), the sweaty "High Ball Shooter," and the melancholy ballad "Soldier of Fortune."

Most of the other songs on the decent, if uneven, Stormbringer (which Metal Blade reissued on CD in the early '90s) are not essential. Like Come Taste the Band, Stormbringer will be of interest to Deep Purple's more enthusiastic fans, rather than casual listeners who would be much better off starting out with either of the above-mentioned studio projects or the live Made in Japan. ~ Alex Henderson2009 special digitally remastered and expanded two disc (CD + PAL/Region 0 DVD) 35th anniversary edition of the veteran British Hard Rockers' 1974 album comes with a crisp new remaster, and a host of collectable extras. The CD features the original album remastered, plus a clutch of tracks remixed by Glenn Hughes at Abbey Road Studios especially for this release.

The DVD contains the original Quad mix of the album presented in both 5.1 surround sound and stereo. Stormbringer was the ninth studio album by Deep Purple, originally released in November 1974. (and featuring the Mark 3 line-up of the band that included David Coverdale on vocals and Glenn Hughes on bass) this album, much more prominently featured the soul and funk elements that were only hinted at on previous album Burn. Deep Purple was formed in Hertford, England, in 1968, with an inaugural lineup that featured guitarist Blackmore, vocalist Rod Evans, bassist Nick Simper, keyboardist Jon Lord, and drummer Ian Paice. Initially dubbed Roundabout, the group was first assembled as a session band for ex-Searchers drummer Chris Curtis but quickly went their own way, touring Scandinavia before beginning work on their debut LP, Shades of Deep Purple.The most pop-oriented release of their career, the album generated a Top Five American hit with its reading of Joe South's "Hush" but otherwise went unnoticed at home. The Book of Taliesyn followed (in the U.S. only) in 1969, again cracking the U.S. Top 40 with a cover of Neil Diamond's "Kentucky Woman."With their self-titled third LP, Deep Purple's ambitions grew, however; the songs reflecting a new complexity and density as Lord's classically influenced keyboards assumed a much greater focus.

Soon after the album's release, their American label Tetragrammaton folded, and with the dismissals of Evans and Simper, the band started fresh, recruiting singer Ian Gillan and bassist Roger Glover from the ranks of the pop group Episode Six.The revamped Deep Purple's first album, 1970's Concerto for Group and Orchestra, further sought to fuse rock and classical music.

When the project, which was recorded with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, was poorly received, Blackmore took creative control of the band, steering it towards a heavier, guitar-dominated approach which took full advantage of Gillan's powerful vocals.The gambit worked; 1970's Deep Purple in Rock heralded the beginning of the group's most creatively and commercially successful period. At home, the album sold over a million copies, with the subsequent non-LP single "Black Night" falling just shy of topping the U.K. pop charts.

Released in 1971, Fireball was also a smash, scoring a hit with "Strange Kind of Woman."Plans to record the follow-up at the Casino in Montreux, Switzerland, were derailed after the venue burned down during a live appearance by Frank Zappa, but the experience inspired Deep Purple's most enduring hit, the AOR staple "Smoke on the Water."

The song, featured on the multi-platinum classic Machine Head, reached the U.S. Top Five in mid-1972 and positioned Deep Purple among rock's elite; the band consolidated its status with the 1973 studio follow-up Who Do We Think We Are and the hit "Woman from Tokyo." However, long-simmering creative differences between Blackmore and Gillan pushed the latter out of the group that same year, with Glover soon exiting as well.

Singer David Coverdale and bassist/singer Glenn Hughes were recruited for 1974's Burn, and Gillan meanwhile formed a band bearing his own name.After completing 1974's Stormbringer, Blackmore left Deep Purple as well, to form Rainbow with vocalist Ronnie James Dio; his replacement was ex-James Gang guitarist Tommy Bolin, who made his debut on Come Taste the Band.

All the changes clearly took their toll, however, and following a farewell tour, the group dissolved in 1976. Coverdale, meanwhile, went on to form Whitesnake, and Bolin died of a drug overdose later in the year.The classic lineup of Blackmore, Gillan, Lord, Glover, and Paice reunited Deep Purple in 1984 for a new album, the platinum smash Perfect Strangers. The House of Blue Light followed three years later, but as past tensions resurfaced, Gillan again exited in mid-1989.

Onetime Rainbow vocalist Joe Lynn Turner was recruited for 1990's Slaves and Masters before Gillan again rejoined to record The Battle Rages On..., an apt title as Blackmore quit the group midway through the supporting tour, to be temporarily replaced by Joe Satriani.In 1994, Steve Morse took over the guitar slot (fresh from a stint in Kansas), and the revitalized group returned to the studio for 1996's Purpendicular, which proved a success among the Purple faithful.
1998's Abandon followed, as well as a 1999 orchestral performance released the following year as Live at the Royal Albert Hall. Deep Purple was given the box set treatment the same year with the four-disc set Shades: 1968-1998, which collected hits, demos, live takes, and unreleased tracks from throughout the years (touching upon all of Purple's different lineups).The late '90s/early 2000s saw the release of several other archival releases and collections (Machine Head's 25th anniversary, Friends & Relatives, Rhino's The Very Best Of, and Days May Come and Days May Go: The 1975 California Rehearsals), as well as a slew of DVDs (Total Abandon: Live Australia 1999, In Concert with the London Symphony Orchestra, Bombay Calling, and New Live & Rare).Former member Blackmore also kept himself busy after leaving the band by issuing a single album with his briefly resuscitated outfit Rainbow (1998's Stranger in Us All), before forming the Renaissance-inspired Blackmore's Night with fiancée/vocalist Candice Night. Eagles - Eagles Live - 1980 (Remaster 2004)

Bom, seguindo a "saga do lobo" reposto mais um daqueles álbuns que acho necessários pra quem gosta de boa música e em qualidade.
Sei, sei que o Eagles já tocou de tudo e agora está em compilações e tal, mas esta é realmente uma das melhores, bom set list, bons vocais, bom padrão de gravação, enfim, não é mais uma coletãnea qualquer, eles deletam de "baciada" e eu reposto de vagarinho, será que vale a pena?

Falar sobre Eagles será sempre como "chover no molhado"!!!!!
Um super grupo; uma super banda; uma super história e sempre serão superlativos, apesar de alguns e com todo direito ainda "torcerem seus narizes" pras raizes folk do trabalho realizado por décadas.

Eagles se tornou atemporal e mais um adjetivo: Universal!!
Ouvidos pelos quatro cantos do mundo e por todo tipo de gente, continuam sendo aclamados, reverenciados e fazendo história.

Este trabalho especificamente não traz nada de novo, a não ser sua reedição em qualidade até superior ao original; os quais sempre prefiro, mas alguns como este merecem ser divulgados e nesse caso dividido com amantes da boa música.

É o que faço aqui, por haver me comprometido com meu irmão Dio que presentearia sua Lú com um trabalho que ela talvez ainda não tivesse , busquei bastante até receber de um amigo algo que não se vê rodando muito por aí.

Aí está!!!!!
Promessa é dívida e através da Lú eu faço uma homenagem à todas mulheres que gostam, tocam e cantam boa música e tem sensibilidade apurada pra distinguir o bom, do supremo.

Mas como sempre, compartilho com quem quiser um ótimo trabalho.

Live is just an average effort by the band. The songs are all top-notch and there are some nice surprises like "Doolin' Dalton", "Saturday Night" and a version of Joe Walsh's solo hit "Life's Been Good", but unfortunately the live versions are basically a paint-by-the-numbers versions of their superior studio efforts. The band are notoriously anal and perfectionists about their music, so that leaves little room for improvisation. They also did some studio touch up work on the songs to enhance their quality which takes away from the reasons why you want to hear a band live. You want to hear them in their rawest, most personal form. Live doesn't live up to expectations...Pepe panzer

Phil Lesh and Friends - There and Back Again - 2002

Como sou insistente e persistente, deve ser a 3ª ou 4ª vez que reposto este som, e uma vez o host deletou, noutra denunciaram e sei lá mais o quê, mas eis-me aqui novamente plagiando os caras aí, rs
Este disco é simplesmente um dos melhores que já ouvi e por isso insisto, gosto dele, acho a cor da capa e as fotos muito interessantes e o som "mil" por isto.....

Há tempos queria postar este som, mas sempre fui deixando e deixando, e postando outros.
Mas o Blues é pra mim um som fantástico, um lamento e ao mesmo tempo a alegria da liberdade e da libertação
Como procuro variar sempre e encontro nos meus guardados muita coisa, fico em dúvida e aí qdo vejo já era.
Mas Phil Lesh não foi só o baixista de uma das maiores bandas de todos os tempos, o "Grateful Dead" e muito menos o acompanhante da estrela "Jerry Garcia".Este é o primeiro álbum de estúdio dessa série criada por Lesh, onde convida é claro seus amigos pra fazerem um som e se divertirem um pouco.
Mas além disso, o que era uma reunião com apresentações ao vivo, se tornou mais uma tourné que chega a fazer shows quase todos os meses em alguns anos e dependendo da agenda de cada convidado; porque se dependesse de Lesh seria o maior tempo juntos possível.

Ele se delicía com o que faz e transmite isso no palco.
Bem, ainda tenho algumas pérolas desse cara, mas esse pra mim com Warren Haynes é absurdamente simples e bem feito bem ao estilão do lider do Gov't Mule e como foi meu primeiro contato com essa "Banda", credito como o melhor, mas não se engane prq nenhum dos outros é inferior.

Jeff Beck with Stanley Clarke - A Battle without honor and humanity (vinyl rip 78)

Estava eu bem sossegado da vida com um post preparadíssimo pra causar uma bela duma polêmica, afinal iria mexer com um fã clube muito grande; e isto sempre faz com que 50% que gostam ou não se manifestem, mas qdo se trata de música, músicos e suas histórias, dependendo da visão apresentada "é só lasca que avoa" como diz o caipira!

Mas enfim, estando eu nesse labor (ai, ai,rs)e me preparando espiritualmente eis que não mais que de repente chega uma correspondência trazida por um dos lobos vigia da alcatéia e qual não foi minha surpresa ao recebê-la e verificar o remetente: "Lamarca".

Se vc não o conhece ou não sabe o prq de meu espanto, não sabe a importãncia que ele tem pra mim e explico: - é que ao começar a navegar em blogs, alguns avatares se tornaram míticos pra mim e ele foi um deles; sempre com poucas palavras em seus comentários, sempre observador e crítico, qdo o via em meus posts ele e alguns outros já me preparava pra mais uma aula, afinal era (e ainda sou) um iniciante neste universo.Depois de alguns contratempos e caminhos diferentes, instalado devidamente aqui no Som Mutante, recebo com felicidade a companhia dessa figura que se tornou pra mim um grande amigo e importante colaborador e crítico; amigos não alisam, são sinceros e junto a outros como já citei várias vezes me ajudou a construir a alcatéia, que ainda tem muito a ser feito, mas que já caminhou tanto que nem imaginava chegar até aqui.

Como a algum tempo o Lamarca havia "sumido"precisando se ocupar com outros afazeres de maior importância pra sua vida, sentia falta mesmo que e não menosprezando de forma alguma a ninguém, mesmo que mais e mais amigos e amigas fossem se juntando a este universo doido conduzido por um lobo mais doido ainda ele; como muitos puderam notar faz falta.

Ele é de pouco falar, discutir nem pensar, e polemizar menos ainda, seu gosto musical se assemelha ao meu mas as vezes passamos longe um do outro(rs), mas isso só nos aproximou mais ainda e saltei o post que iria fazer pra dividir com vcs que aqui frequentam o presente que ele nos deu; afinal se me enviou, enviou a todos nós, e que belíssima surpresa em mais um Jeff Beck só que agora com outro mago das 4 cordas e precursor de movimentos musicais que vingam até hoje, Stan Clarke.

Obrigado Lamarca pelo presente, obrigado pela amizade e por vc ser quem é, vc nunca foi sempre esteve!!!!!Jeff Beck’s brief association with Stanley Clarke was a true artistic collaboration between two talented musicians. And except for a few tracks on Clarke’s studio albums, there is very little evidence of it occurring. The short tours of Japan in 1978 and Europe in 1979 fortunately were extensively taped from the audience and provide much welcomed documentation. It is ironic that during this time, when Beck was living in the USA and was working with an American artist, no shows with the two occur there.

The November 26th Nagoya show is the fifth of ten shows in Japan and the recording benefits from being taped in a relatively small venue. The mono audience recording captures the entire show without cuts and is very detailed albeit a little flat. It was pressed before on the Beck-oriented Scarecrow label on The Two Representative Of The Rock (Scarecrow 089/090) in similar quality. But Watch Tower has a slight edge in clarity and for being lively.

Opening the set is the familiar “Darkness / Earth In Search Of A Sun.” On Becks’ previous tours with Jan Hammer this number was an eighteen minute long set piece where Beck would join Hammer in the latter half othe song. On this tour, ninety seconds of the introductory majestic keyboard riff serves as an introduction to the “funk” arrangement of “Star Cycle.”“Goodbye Pork Pie Hat” serves as as introduction to Clarke’s bass solo which in turn morphs into a duet with Beck in “School Days.” The improvisations in this piece are cut short at nine minutes. The entire band contributes though in the dreamy surreal “Journey Of Love.”

“Lopsy Lou” features a three way dialogue between Beck on guitar, Clarke on bass and Hymas on keyboards as they each take turns stating the theme and introducing variations over the course of the track’s six minutes. “Diamond Dust” is a real subtle and gentle improvisation between the two musicians and leads directly into the frantic “Scatterbrain.” Both Hymas on keyboards and Simon Phillips on drums are given an opportunity to solo.

Clarke’s “Rock And Roll Jelly” is the final song played in the main set. Three minutes of the lyric “‘Cause We’ve Ended As Lovers” serves as a three minute prelude to “Blue Wind,” appropriately the final song played in the show. Watch Tower package this in a double slimline jewel case with very clear graphics on the artwork. Overall the sound quality is very good and the performance is intriguing enough to suggest having this title in the collection.

T.M. Stevens - Black Night Deep Purple Tribute, According to New York (1997)

Eu já conheço o som do negrão de longa data e acompanhando seu trabalho ídem.
O que sempre me chamou a atenção é que ele era visualmente falando, de uma escola "a lá" Steve Vai e outros que se vestiam extravagantemente e isso me chamou a atenção prq muitos escondem sua pouca capacidade atrás de muitas imagens e luzes, pinturas e cores; o que não foi e não é o caso de T.M.Stevens, talvez um dos maiores e melhores baixistas que já ouvi neste planeta.

O cara além de cantar muito, ter um pusta de um swingue e marca própria em estilo e no que quer fazer, ele é muito, mas muito bom mesmo no que faz e olha que existe uma lista imensa de magos nas cordas grossas, e fica até difícil dizer quem é melhor e porque?Bom em 97 eu encontrei a resposta: - Ele pega a obra do Deep Purple, uma das maiores e mais lendárias bandas do rock mundial, e a adapta ao seu estilo, falante, negro, balançante, alegre; as vezes reggae, as vz rock puro e muitas ou quase todas acompanhado do que tem de melhor e o resultado é um álbum que enquanto dedilho aqui rola na alcatéia a mil "space truckin" e o que mais se destaca é?
Tudo, tudo, tudo é muito bom, batera, guita, vocais, e claro seu inseparável baixo e sua pusta vocalização rouca e poderosa, ou vc acha mesmo que caras como estes da lista abaixo entrariam num projeto deste de bobeira?

Difícil falar desse cara, ou tentar falar mais dele, mas se vc ama o Purple, pode ser que julgue que a obra foi reinventada, mas se vc se deixar levar pela sonoridade e souber que o Purple aplaudiu o trabalho considerando um ou talvez o melhor tributo já feito; talvez mude de idéia e pense: - Se não fosse como foi, deveria ser assim, rs
Além do que, ele também é produtor, arranjador e participou de sucessos variados de bandas variadas e algumas seguem listadas abaixo; em breve vou postando seus outros trabalhos por aqui, mas este aqui é alucinante por isso o escolhi.

Ah! Preste atenção ou já vá direto pra Stormbringer e veja o que é aquilo, o que é que ele fez com uma das melhores pra mim e que simplesmente ficou, mágicamente divina.

Never losing sight of his own special blend of signature roots music Heavy Metal Funk with his band Shocka Zooloo, TM's versatility and heavyweight skills as producer, songwriter, singer and instrumentalist are obvious on his now six solo albums with a seventh due in summer of 2006. (See Discography, Concert, Video and TV-Show list.)

He successfully presents himself on these as both songwriter and producer and still enjoys working with other artists when his schedule allows. With at least two European Shocka Zooloo tours each year he also toured in 2004 with Jean Paul Bourelly and drummer John Blackwell (Prince). In Autumn 2005 he completed his Asian tour with Neil Zaza going directly into a lengthy European tour with Shocka Zooloo, finished 2005 with the collaboration of TM, Carl Palmer (ELP) and Andrea Brado in Italy and Russia and even squeezed in another European ELP tour in February of 2006.

TM's rich, hefty, trademark vocals came about through James Brown's insistence that he not only play bass but sing on "Living In America" and Mr Brown's album "Gravity". This was TM's in-road to many years of sessions and productions with some of the world's finest artists.

His extravagance, combined with tenderness and complimented by a whole lot of 'Funkiness', is enriched through years of recording with award-winning stars like Steve Vai, Cindy Lauper, Little Steven, Tina Turner and Billy Joel. A former member of The Pretenders, TM recorded on the platinum album "Get Close" and also produced and arranged, amongst others, the album "Tribute to Deep Purple According to New York" on which artists like Yngwie Malamsteen, members of Living Color and Bernie Worrell (P-Funk) all participated. It was TM who contributed the compelling groove with his unmistakable style on Joe Cocker's mainstream classic "Unchain my Heart." Together with Narada Michael Walden he penned the billboard hit "I Should Have Loved Ya."His early jazz years brought him to play with the man hinmself, Miles Davis, and fans speak almost religously of TM's performance at Montreaux Jazz Festival so many years ago with One Truth, Mahavishu and John Mc Laughin.

With the songs on TM's CD's leaning more on the heavy metal funk side, combining Afro percussive blends and Reggae roots with funk and strong melodies peppered with his impressive ballads, we note:

"The important thing is that all of the songs came from my heart, guts and roots."

From the early days of Delta Blues with artists such as Blind Lemon and Lead Belly, to the very beginnings of modern day Rock'n'Roll , which was carved and invented by the likes of Chuck Berry and Little Richard, these forerunners are indeed part of his roots:

Sabe aqueles dias em que tudo parece estar passando mais devagar, mais calmo, mais sonolento até?
Pois é, estando eu no alto de uma montanha, observando todo o vale que cerca a alcatéia e vislumbrando matas, cachoeiras, trilhas, pássaros,vários tipos de animais uns se entretendo com suas atividades e outros como eu mesmo só observando e vivendo, vivendo......De repente me chega uma encomenda!!!!!!!!!!

O que seria?

Mas tudo tá tão quieto e parado, o que poderia ser? Claro que como todo bom lobo que se preza, não perdi tempo e já fui logo abrindo pra ver o que seria tal surpresa; e não é que tudo mudou e até parece que a luz do dia passou a raiar mais forte, e os animais a se mexer com mais intensidade e o som na alcatéia foi a mil, afinal, não era sempre que algo assim havia entrado pela porta da frente (expressão heim, só metáfora, afinal vc já viu toca ter porta?) e causado tamanho frenesi,rs

Bem, o ZM acordou inspirado e que bom fomos brindados com essa obra absurdamente linda e ainda com a presença do "mago" das 4 cordas Jack Bruce se juntando ao mestre das cordas Uli, e mais uma infinidade de talentos.

The idea for ‘Legends Of Rock’ arose from a simple phone call... The festival promoters for the Derbyshire Rock & Blues Festival rang U.J.R. because they needed a ‘last minute’ new headliner for their show in 2001.

They turned to Uli because his agent had praised his ability ‘to pull rabbits out of the hat at short notice’ and he did just that.
Uli picked up the phone and invited some of his old friends to join him onstage in order to make this an extra-special evening.

Although not all of the invited guests who had promised to come did show up, the audience of some 17,000 was not disappointed as the show was a great success for all involved and a bit of rock history was written onstage that night. The entire thing was filmed and resulted in a DVD which is simply great to watch and to listen to.

How much would you pay to hear Uli Jon & The Mad Axeman duel it out on the UFO classic "Doctor, Doctor"? Whatever your answer is, it's not enough, because much of the music on this disc is priceless. If you have the Scorpion's "Tokyo Tapes" & UFO's "Strangers In The Night" on vinyl then you know where I'm coming from. Come on....you add Jack Bruce, Phil Mogg, Pete Way & the previously mentioned Schenker and what else would you expect.Uli Jon's guitar switches gears from Hendrix inspired playing on songs like "Little Wing" to Clapton's riffs on "Sunshine Of Your Love" without breaking a sweat.
The quality of the recording is really very, very good; all the instruments and vocals are very clear throughout.

The only minor beef I have is Uli's playing on some of the UFO tunes; he assumes the role of rhythm guitarist with very little lead playing.
After listening to those songs numerous times, however, my personal opinion is he just can't keep up with Michael (and not many can).
But holy cr@p, when this album gets to the last few tracks, you better have at least 200 watts of power to do this recording justice. If your a fan of 70's metal and remember how rock music used to be played, you owe yourself this cd.

When listening to this fabulous live album, i realize how sad and mediocre the present music panorama is. When classics do their best, there's no possible comparison... No present musicians make you feel like this album, in which there're superb moments, not of guitar heroes being the fastest fingers, but of truly artistic top moments.

Guitars mix of Roth and Schenker in Doctor doctor and the final jam are absolutely awesome, along with Cream's, UFO's, and Hendrix's classics. One of the best live albums in the last years...
the cd recorded live at donnington is a classic cd of songs from jon uli roth and jack bruce and ufo.
Uli plays on every cut on this cd. having uli and michael schenker playing together on ufo classic "rock bottom" and"doctor doctor" are intsant classic live recordings. My fav track is uli doing along the watchtower nad the amazing ten minute jam with michael schenker and jack bruce called "fireworks jam".Ulrich Hans Joachim Anton Josef Roth, mais conhecido como Uli Jon Roth, exímio músico alemão, integrou o Scorpions de 1973 a 1978 gravando os álbuns “Fly To The Rainbow”, “In Trance”, “Virgin Killer”, “Taken By Force” e o ao vivo “Tokyo Tapes”.

Porém, enquanto o Scorpions estava decidido a rumar ao estrelato, obter melhores vendagens, que foi justamente o que aconteceu nos anos 80 quando entraram no mercado americano, Uli queria explorar outros limites, aperfeiçoar suas habilidades musicais, crescer como músico.

Que nada, tô pra trazer um do Era Wilson faz tempo, e outros que estão na minha lista de aquisições (ré,ré,ré); mas sei lá Warren Haynes depois que eu assisto eu fico fissurado, espero que curtam tanto qto eu, realmente dispensa comentários, este cara vai ser o músico do século, pode crer!!!!!Gov't Mule dispensa apresentações. Quem conhece sabe.
E quem não conhece confira para saber por quê.

O dvd 1 gravado no The Orpheum Theatre, Boston 15/10/2004O dvd 2 gravado no The Riviero Theatre, Chicago em 09/12/2006.É um bootleg, gravado de TV digital, que não sei qual.

Estes dvds foram devidamente transformados em DivX e estão disponíveis nos links abaixo, para vosso deleite.Existe ai uma pequena falta de sincronia entre áudio e vídeo nos dois vídeos, que é original do bootleg.

Não foi criada na ripagem. Mas é muito pequena e quase imperceptível.

Poderia nem falar nada!!!!
Mas vc acha mesmo que eu vou calar minha boca grande?

Quando o meu amigo Mauri me deu um toque sobre esta banda ele me alertou que o Steve Gadd seria um de seus fundadores e lá fui eu em busca do tesouro perdido, porque o Mauri não pede nada que exista; pra ele tem de ser impossível (eu até acho que ele fica rindo em casa pensando: Aquele maluco deve tá revirando o mundo pra achar o som, ré,ré!!!)
Mas quando comecei, me encantei como disse antes com a variedade de discos que ele já fez e participou; é impressionante e lindo o respeito que o mundo da musica tem por ele.Mas achar o tal do "Stuff", isso foi uma tarefa realmente difícil!!!
Tem, como disse uma anta um tempo atrás, em outra postagem minha; que nas majors vc encontra!!!!!!!

Ora se fosse pra comprar pra que abriria um blog?

Pra ficar como alguns que só indicam pra eles se vc quiser comprar.....comprar deles?

Então prossegui e fui encontrando outras coisas do Gadd e conhecendo um trabalho maravilhoso como esse do Masahiko Satoh que postei e tb o do Quincy Jones entre outros.Aí eu fiquei extasiado quando dei de cara com este trabalho!!!!!!!!
Não, não era possível, depois de tanto procurar encontrar algo que de certa forma resumiria a carreira dos caras.

Nem acreditei mesmo, mas já fui baixando e guardando, isso prq era final de domingo e estava desligando a máquina pra descansar.
Bem tá aí pra quem quiser conhecer, pra quem quiser ouvir, guardar ou simplesmente saber que ainda se encontra por ai e vou continuar procurando mais, porque o cara vale a pena mesmo.

Mas me lembro qdo no inicio dos 70 eu entrei com alguns amigos no porão de uma casa de um deles e começamos a fazer um som, em 10 minutos tinha duas viaturas da policia na porta e os homi de arma na mão gritando "cadê os vagabundos?"

Tinha um professor de música, um estudante de arquitetura, um dono de padaria(rs) e um moleque com cara de idiota no meio(esse era eu). Aí os caras invadiram, procuraram, reviraram, queriam achar drogas, sei lá o quê; em dois minutos o dono da casa, desembargador e pai de um de nós, desceu e deu uma carteirada na cara dos gambé(nossa,rs)que saíram pedindo desculpas e o escambau e em 24 hs o cmt deles tava tomando uma dura do geral.

Mas diz pra mim, vc sabe qtas dessas passei?

Sabe qtas vezes com instrumento nas costas fui parado voltando do colégio com cadernos, livros e amigos?

Só mudou de lugar eu acho, parece que arte ofende aos brucutus, e olha, fui do exército e me orgulho muito disso prq não me escondi atrás da farda e tb não me escondi atrás de falsas ideologias explodindo os outros.
Continuei sendo e fazendo o que gostava.

Trabalhei em muitas outras áreas e sempre com toda dignidade que pude.

Nasci assim e não vai ser google ou a pqp que me tira o gosto pela música ou o prazer em ouvir, prq hj ouço os bons, na minha época começávamos isso aí que rola, hj admiro o conjunto disso tudo que gerou a nós."

Tenho notado não apenas o problema dos links que são retirados mas o blog inteiro.

É lamentavél.

Uma vez que muitos dos conteúdos de lá são de extrema raridade e beleza.

O blogspot tem se mostrado muito frágil e inseguro para manter os blogs, infelizmente.

Gostaria de alerta-los para que os Bloggers de plantão mantenham-se atentos.

A exemplo do umquetenha resolveu hospedar em um host próprio.
Então galera dos Blogs é melhor trocar os hosts, unirmos pois eles não vão acabar com todos os torrents, sharefiles, e sites da internet.

Gostaria de lamentar os casos ocorridos, mas que tomemos uma providência antes que viremos nomades da internet.
